To piggyback on my last post about Janet Williams' amazing clay work, Brooklynite Ariel Dearie is a dream of a florist. She perfectly places flowers with their matches and creates the most amazing centerpieces, bridal bouquets and arrangements.

This recent Valentine's Day holiday a few lucky lovely ladies received an Ariel Dearie bouquet of poppies and so on, inside a piece of Janet Williams pottery. Hands down the best collaboration, making the usually cheesy Valentine's day gift something classy. While snooping on Janet's site, I came across her other amazing and affordable pieces.

Katie Scott is an illustrator who loves all of my favorite things. Patty Lee

I couldn't have timed my 'Ring Box' post any more perfectly. My oldest, bestest friend, Patty Lee, seen here dressed as a Cactus (she is a genius at Halloween, you should see her Pinkberry costume) just got engaged to the best guy in history, Ryan McCormick, moments shy of their 10 year anniversary!

I love you guys so much and am beyond thrilled!

Quilt

My boo Kalen from Upstate has been hibernating in Marfa this winter, collecting ideas and using saved scrap pieces from her line to create this INCREDIBLE quilt. I cannot wait to see the final piece.

Ring Box

I was told a story this morning of a rare sighting. A man dropped down on one knee in the middle of Times Square in the rain (how many movies is this in?) and proposed to his girlfriend. The newly-engaged woman burst into tears and the storyteller couldn't help but do the same, although he wasn't sure why.



I came across these perfect ring boxes while window shopping on Etsy if you are planning on proposing anytime soon, or just want a pretty place to put your rings so they don't go missing...

Fabric

All I want to do lately is sew it up and fabric hoard (maybe this is due to my recent sewing machine break). Below are some of my recent favorite vintage fabrics and old bed sheets.
