Craft Night Idea: Duvet Cover

duvetcover13

England resident and mother, Jen Morris has created a duvet cover from her oldest son Daniel's doodles. I LOVE this tutorial, although it's a little time consuming, the final product is so cool and thoughtful. Follow the link to see the tutorial and finished product.

Valentine's Day

Is it too soon to be thinking about Valentine's day? Not when it's the sweetest holiday of the year it isn't. I've compiled a list of a few things that I think to be appropriate to give the woman or man of your dreams (or of the moment).

Secretly decorate their room or apartment appropriately.:

Decorate their apartment with plants in nice hanging ceramic things:

Fancy jewelry? Yes please! Vintage Cartier bracelet:vdsix

While we are on the topic of baller presents, a trip to Brazil (preferably in the winter time so I can spend my 30th birthday there):

A pair of love dogs: Basset Hounds or Jack Russells. If you don't like Jack Russells, watch the movie Beginners and your mind will be changed. basset-hound-25

If you are a practical gift giver/receiver, a cleaning service or cable or magazine subscriptions:

A handmade gift like a knit anatomical heart:

Or a necklace made from one of these:

Prunella

SOAPBEST ONE
soapxic soapthree

Now that the holidays are over, I've turned 29 and the new year has settled in, it's time to refocus on ourselves and more importantly, bathing.

Janell Anderson, head soap master at Prunella, rains (a weather joke) from Portland, Oregon and makes soaps smelling of cinnamon, lavender vanilla, pink grapefruit oatmeal and unscented, to name a few. The soaps are made from pure olive oil, organic coconut and palm oils, all natural, everything.

Prunella also makes travel soap bars! See Below:
